When SkinDoona first began in 2008, I made a first aid cream named ‘cuts and grazes’, that helped clear up a little babies eczema, and a nappy rash cream named ‘baby bum’. They were so similar in the herbs they contained, that too often I couldn’t decide which one would be best to recommend, so I merged the two formulations into one amazing healing cream and called it ‘Mother’s Love’ - simply because it was good for everything and had the soothing qualities of the love I knew my mother had for her three children.
The name Mother’s Love has become ever more pertinent as the product evolved from its original use as an eczema cream to now also supporting mother's and babies during the pre and postpartum periods. It’s popular choice of gift for mothers of all ages and after becoming a mother myself, I realised children need both the unconditional love of a carer, and the jar of magic ‘mama love’ to help soothe and heal those childhood woes.
And of course, it’s not just for mums. This cream is suitable for men, women, children and pets.
I really love this cream!! We have jars and pump bottles of it all around the house and we use it on everything and anything. It’s really lovely making something that other people find helpful. So often I meet someone who already knows and loves Mother’s Love.
